UIA: 'We have no dialogue with CFK'
Buenos Aires Herald
June 22, 2009
The Argentine Industrial Union's (UIA) president H ctor M ndez stated that "Argentina is going through a political crisis", and added that his organization "has no dialogue with President Cristina Fern ndez de Kirchner".
The businessman dismissed press reports suggesting the UIA was planning to ask the government for a significant devaluation of the peso after the June 28 midterm elections.
"It s impossible, we haven't asked anything to the government simply because we have no dialogue with the president".
The head of the UIA expressed his concern about what he thinks is a political crisis that Argentina is currently experiencing, "All I see in this electoral camping is a state of tension instead of serenity in order to discuss proposals".
I don't see in this campaign new alternatives nor new leaderships".
