The conference, co-hosted by Dr. Stefan Engelsberger of Germany's IGA (First German Society of Bondholders) will bring together leading experts to discuss the impact of Argentina's unprecedented default and restructuring on American, German and international investors and the capital markets - and will explore ways to persuade the Argentine Government to reenter into good-faith negotiations with holdouts.

Dr. Shapiro will share the recent findings of his study titled, "Discredited - The Impact of Argentina's Sovereign Debt Default and Debt Restructuring on U.S. Taxpayers and Investors," on the direct and indirect financial impact of Argentina's default and 2005 restructuring on American and German investors and the global economy at-large.

While in Germany, Dr. Shapiro will also meet with senior government, industry and banking officials to discuss collaborative efforts to ensure that the Argentine restructuring approach does not become a new international standard, depressing investor confidence and undermining international lending to developing countries.

ATFA, through a variety of events and research initiatives, works to encourage the United States government and other stakeholders to take action on behalf of American taxpayers, businesses and bondholders.
